Are you headed out of town for Thanksgiving? We are! And our car DVD player is jammed with two DVDs (thank you Locke…grrr…) so watching a movie is not an option on our 6 hour drive to Boise. I am going to have to oil my rusty travel brain and bring out some travel boredom busters (that don’t involve a DVD):
We were looking to sell our house. My realtor came over, checked out my house, ran some comparables, did the math and gave me a figure of what he thought my house could sell for. My heart sunk. His number was $50,000 less than my friend’s home sold for just 2 years ago.
A few months ago, I did a post called Battle of the Bedroom where I outlined different strategies that I tried to get my oldest daughter to clean her room. Although those methods were unsuccessful, I am happy to report that I tried one last tactic and…..Victory!
Do you remember Service Saturdays? You know where my family and I go serve one Saturday a month so that my kids don’t turn into snotty, entitled rich kids. Well, we lost our groove for a few months there over the summer, but we are now back on track. Service Saturdays have been revived.
