L Week

Letter Weeks have been on the lam the last few months.  But we are back with L week!

L Week was one long week.  3 months to be exact. Kind of lame, I know, but better late than never, right?

FOOD:

Croft learned to squeeze fresh limes for one of our dinners.

She liked it until the lime juice in the eye episode.

We tried a homemade lemonade a while back and it was lovely.  We used this recipe from Our Best Bites.  We’ve tried their Brazilian Lemonade a few times too.

ACTIVITY:

We went to the local library and they loaned us some libros.

Of course Locke had to come too and look at letters.

Luckily, Croft was able to get her very first library card.  She is officially a life-long reader!

One of the reasons I love Letter of the Week is the chance we have to include family in some many of our experiences.

So we went to lunch with the ladies: Laura and Lyla and Leah.

We missed Lily and Lindsey and Lauren, but we’ll have to catch them later.

CRAFT:

I was looking for an L craft when I came across this box of  Loops and Loom at Hobby Lobby.  Remember those old pot holders we used to make?  This was just like that.

I didn’t get a picture of the final project, but the loom worked. We have used the pot holder as a trivet more than once.  Croft is thrilled every time she sees her creation being used.

(I wish the leaves would have turned a bit more because looking for leaves and a leaf rub would have been lovely  too.)

LEARNING:

Lastly, here are some L alphabet worksheets here and here and here and here.

Gotta love L week!  And I promise not to be a loser anymore.  I will post M week before Christmas!

  1. Yeah…thank you for not forgetting the ABCs! I just told Tagg we are going to start preschool again now that the older boys are back in school. It’s just going to be him and me…I don’t know anyone to do a mommy preschool. So these posts will be helpful. Thank you!

    1. Are you talking about the printable A? I had the font on my other computer but not on my new one and other complicated computer stuff. But I am working on getting the printable letters again. I will email you when I get it up.

  2. Great job! I am missing the printable letters also. 🙂 I am working on J & there isn’t one. I’ve been putting them on his wall to see what we’ve gone over. :/ 🙂
