“Click” Moments

I got the idea for “Click” moments from a mystery series that my daughter read called Cam Jansen.  The main character is a detective and she has a photographic memory. She says “Click” when she wants to remember a scene from a case.

I find that although I am not a detective, I am a mother, and there are certain moments I want to remember in my mind forever.  When I see those special moments, I literally say “Click” and then take a mental picture.  Like when …..

Elle blew bubbles for the younger ones to chase.

I came home to find Chad and the kids snuggled on the couch reading (and all the kids were bathed!)

The kids were playing and getting along on the tramp.  There were giggles and no tears…for a moment.

I looked out the window on a Sunday and saw Elle and Crew sitting on a blanket together.  They were making a list of all the places they wanted to go on a mission.

(I love that China is on the top of Crew’s list, followed by Saint George.)

I am happy I got some actual ‘clicks’ in, but when I don’t have a camera handy saying “Click” helps cement the family memory in my mind.  Sometimes I even share these “click” moments with the kids at dinner instead of my High-Low-Uh.  I want them to know I notice them. I am confident I will get to develop all of my mental pics at a Costco in the clouds someday.
