One of the difficulties of Family Home Evening is meeting every kid at their spiritual and developmental level. I have an inquisitive, wise 10 year old down to a rowdy, delayed 3 year old. They don’t need the same lesson. They don’t have the same attention span. They don’t have the same interests or the same questions. So what is a mom to do?
Summer is winding down and I realized I still have some big summer events that I haven’t blogged about yet. Where did the summer go? One of our favorite summer memories was our Erickson Cousin Camp. This was the first time we had Cousin Camp and we hosted it at our house.
Elle set a summer goal to learn to make lunches. So to help Elle in her quest for cooking competency I made ‘make lunch’ a chore every Monday. This weekly accountability proved to be very helpful.
So I have had this dilemma with my blog lately.
As my loyal readers probably know I am a Mormon. And being a Mormon isn’t just something we do on Sunday. We are religious every day of the week.
I’ve told you before that I am in love with the library. The public library goes right along with my thrift goals and my minimalism kick. We have access to all the books we want, but we don’t have to buy them or store them at our house.
