Consider memorizing scriptures, quotes, poems, etc. as the good seeds I want to plant in my children’s garden. You can also consider the memorization as an antidote to all the swearing, crudeness and graphic language they may encounter in school, music or movies. I’ve gotta fight back with something.
I got a Mac computer awhile back and have yet to feel comfortable with loading pictures on my blog with the new programs. I’ve got to face and tackle my lack of skills. So this post is an exercise in me learning to crop, edit, resize and load pictures to my blog. I decided to learn on Locke’s 4th Birthday Party because the post is mostly photo based. Locke turned 4 in August and wanted a Construction Birthday Party.
I thought I wanted to homeschool, but I wasn’t sure how to do it. I didn’t know what curriculum to use; I didn’t know if I would like it; I wasn’t sure how to schedule the day; I wondered how the kids would do. I worried about long term effects and short term logistics. I questioned my own patience, time, and skills. I just didn’t KNOW.
It is not uncommon for Crew to go to school without his lunch, his backpack, his homework, or his coat. I have even kicked him out of the car with no shoes on. And this matted cowlick has left the house more than once. I wanted his teacher to know where I was coming from as a parent so I wrote her a letter.
