My hubby left for a business trip last weekend and I decided to leave some surprises in his suitcase.
I printed off the lunch notes that I featured in my “A Little Love at Lunch” post and used them for him. Now “Eat your vegetables” didn’t really work, but there were at least 4-5 others notes that could work for a husband going on a trip.
I wrote personal notes in the space provided and then waited until I could find a time to sneak them into his suitcase. Chad started packing at 12:30 at night and I just couldn’t stay awake even though I knew he had to leave at 6 am. Luckily, Locke woke up at 3:50 am. So since I was up, I tucked those notes into my hubby’s shoes, pants, shirts, toiletries bag and suitcase pockets (with my eyes half shut) in the wee hours of the morning.
This was a quick and easy way to show love to my husband. Chad appreciated the notes and it was a fun twist on the school lunch note.

I loved these notes! It was a great surprise when I got to my hotel. I will try and pack earlier next time.
I think that even a “remember to eat your vegetables” note is acceptable to a husband who will be eating out ALL weekend. Great idea Tiff. I love notes!
Good point, Laura.
Super cute idea.
