Tables Turned
I’ve used some good parenting techniques over the years, but you know it is time to reevaluate when the tables turn and the kids use your own method back on you.

I know Santa does things a little differently at everyone’s house, but I thought I would tell you about our Santa.
First of all, he always comes to visit us on Christmas Eve before the kids go to sleep. Then the kids set their stockings on the couches where they want Santa to drop off their stash.
Life has been crazy this last month- putting our house up for sale, selling it, Thanksgiving, getting ready for Christmas, trying to find a place to live, and packing, packing, packing. The house most days is in disarray with a box here and Christmas stuff there, but amongst the whirlwind, there has been one constant that has kept me sane…
I don’t care what other people say, looks matter. I know it’s what inside that counts most, but there is something to a pretty outside too.
One of my favorite parenting tools is role playing. Role playing is my way of helping my children, but yet not robbing them of an opportunity to grow and gain confidence.
I have been house hunting for about two months now and I have learned much about myself (and it hasn’t been pretty).
