How Well Do You Know Me?

Elle made up a fun game this summer called “How Well Do You Know Me?”   Here is how it works:

One person says “How well do you know me? and then asks a question about himself/herself.

Like…

What is my favorite color?

What is my favorite car?

What am I most afraid of?

What is my favorite subject in school?

Who is my hero? etc.

Everyone playing the game tries to guess the answer.  And the person who guesses the answer right gets to go next with “How well do you know me?” and then asks a question of his/her choice.

I played this game with Crew and 2 of my nephews on a recent road trip. We had so much fun.

I learned that Evan’s favorite ice cream is Ben and Jerry’s Midnight Snack; Alec’s dream is to be a singer when he grows up and Crew’s favorite ocean animal is a squid.  They learned that I played volleyball and softball in high school and that I have only punched one person in the face in my entire life and that was my sister, Chelsea. (I claim it was a push.  She still claims it was a punch. Either way I am sure she deserved it.)

Anyway, the point is, we got to know each other better; we laughed; we teased; and sometimes the questions or answers were jumping off points for deeper conversations.

It is an easy game to pull off anytime, anywhere– it takes no planning and no supplies.  Try it as you travel, as you wait in a restaurant for dinner, or as you sit on your porch on a summer evening.

How well do you know me?  In the 8th grade I was interviewed by the school newspaper.  According to that interview, what did I want to be when I grew up? (There are 2 right answers.)
