Kitchen Kid Ware

Here are some of our family’s favorite kitchen kidware.

MINI GLASS CUPS

We love our small glass cups. They are just the right size.  The kids can hold them safely because they are a bit narrower; plus they hold just the right amount of milk.  My favorite part is that the table still looks pretty when we set these.   And don’t worry; the glass is quite thick and sturdy. We have used these for 3+ years and we have never had one break.

By the way, these glasses are washed out cheese spread jars. If you don’t go through cheese spread regularly (and who would?), you can pick them up at thrift shops. I saw tons at our local D.I. (thrift shop) recently.

LARGE MUFFIN TINS

Besides muffins, we love to use our large muffin tins to make individual portions of meatloaf, quiche, and German pancakes.  There is something psychologically fun about getting a whole individual serving as opposed to just a piece of a larger dish.

RAMEKINS

These small dishes are great for  sauces like bbq,  ketchup, fry sauce, ranch, sweet and sour, etc. and for dips like caramel, peanut butter, and hummus.  The ramekins contain the sauce on the plate and since everyone has their own dish, you don’t have to worry about germs spreading due to double dipping.  Ramekins come in a variety of different sizes.  I got mine at Wal-Mart.

MINI-TRIFLE DISHES

Are these darling or what?  We love to use our mini trifle dishes for puddings, jellos, yogurt parfaits, ice cream and fruit salad.  They just make after-school snack so much more fun.  I got these at Wal-Mart also.

These kitchen kidware dishes just help make eating a little more fun and a little more cute and a little more classy.

  1. I grew up using those “glasses”! I love them. Walmart now has some cute salsa dishes, too. I picked one up today and made fresh salsa to put in it. I love cute dishes 🙂
